Cities

Cities grew rapidly in the 19th century because of new inventions and advancements.

Some advancements included the modern vertical city, elevators, and mass production of steel.

There were also obstacles the Americans had to overcome. Some of these obstacles or challenges were building the Statue of Liberty, building skyscrapers, and gangsters and murderers were running the streets.

The world stopped spinning
as the towers fell.
So many lives lost
in what seemed like
a real Hell.
People remember the day
with tears in their eyes
although everybody still denies.
It has been years
of just pure silence.
